Childhood Worries

a 100 word Drabble

“My daddy’s not going to live at my house anymore. Mom’s had enough. She can’t take it anymore. I’ll only see Daddy on the weekends he has visit-nation. He said that means we will have a sleepover at his new apartment,” Lenny had told him at preschool.

Sam thought about how much he liked sleepovers, but he liked seeing his dad everyday too. What if his mom got enough? What if his dad wanted an apartment? What if he only wanted to see Sam at visit-nation?

The people clapped, Dad scooped him up, kissed Mom’s nose, and Lenny’s story evaporated.

I love to write and self-published my first book of poetry last year, a book of Haiku this year, and a book of short stories later this year!
