Consider Mrs. Claus

Let’s take a moment to pause

and think of poor old Mrs. Claus.

She once was lively and young

and had difficulty holding her tongue.

At times she herself

was quite a jolly elf.

Lately she’s been marooned

with comfort from ice cream and spoon.

No longer full of vim and vigor,

She’s just a full four sizes bigger.

Left alone on the most special night of the year

has brought more than the single tear.

What can she say? He’s bringing good cheer.

It’s the other 364 days make her clench her hand.

What she just does not understand…

Why have a house full of elves

when he wants to do it all himself?

She has finally had more than enough.

She’ll stand up to him although it’s tough.

Now they sit together on a counselor’s couch.

He doesn’t talk much, but…

They’re together outside the house.
