Dimming the Stars

Stars in her eyes.

Stars in her eyes.

She looked at the world

With stars in her eyes.

Everything sparkled.

All was good.

Nothing was evil.

Nothing was black.

Those days are

Gone, now.

Those days are

Through.

I pray those days could be brought back.

I pray they could return.

I pray those days could stay.

She’s older now,

And those stars

Are only dimly seen through

The fog of experience.

I love to write and self-published my first book of poetry last year, a book of Haiku this year, and a book of short stories later this year!
