Overgrown

What happens when a heart is not cultivated

Her heart,

overgrown with weeds

and brambles, loved

naught because

she didn’t know

how to feel

anymore.

He came along

and pulled

at the weeds

and cut

at the brambles.

Her heart

blossomed and

learned to love

the gardener

who cultivated

her heart.
