Pictures on Four Walls

Seen on every wall;

the dead frozen

in time without age

or decay; the living

living in two places,

events captured

in a snapshot,

an event without end

and lives lived unaware

of their duality, one within

and one without; landscapes

of novice painters, puddles

of paint, rough and sandpaper

paintings of places

that never were

except that they live

on these four walls.

I love to write and self-published my first book of poetry last year, a book of Haiku this year, and a book of short stories later this year!
