The Labyrinth of the Leprechauns

What happens at the end of the rainbow

I knew this day would come!

As a child, I was regaled with stories of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I dreamed that one day I would find it. On that day, I would be rich beyond my wildest dreams.

I continued to believe in the dream as I grew older. The older I became, the more I needed that pot of gold. Bosses don’t seem to believe in the pot of gold. They wanted me to work for my gold.

They didn’t understand a day off work chasing the end of the rainbow. They said I believed a fairy tale and that I had a poor work ethic.

They can believe what they want, but I know what I believe.

I became homeless a year ago. Well, not totally homeless. I live in my car and beg for money. I use the money to put gas in my car to chase the end of the rainbow before it disappears.

I knew that one day I would catch it. Then the world would be mine. I would be able to capture the gold from those miserly little leprechauns.

Today, I found the end of the rainbow! No one thought it could be done, but I did it!

My day of triumph was foiled by those cheeky little leprechauns. The pot of gold is not just sitting at the end of the rainbow as I expected. It is hidden inside a labyrinth, and the labyrinth disappears with the rainbow.

The labyrinth is complicated and impossible to navigate in such a short time.

Perhaps I had it all wrong. Perhaps I should have worked for my gold?
